About HousingIntelligence.com
HousingIntelligence is the culmination of a dream to create the kind of resource we, a team of market researchers, repeatedly wished we had access to as we worked with builders, developers and investment firms making decisions regarding residential housing investments.

We decided to create a site that would be for us and by us, with “us” being the analytically oriented “geeks” in this industry. We also think we’ll have some appeal to those special few executives who realize how intelligence created by geeks can significantly impact performance and serving the end consumer.

We know that professionals who are interested in understanding housing and the new home business have limited options for getting insightful and reliable information. Information is guarded by a few old-school monolithic companies who insist on only selling their information to clients at steep prices and with bundled consulting with even steeper price tags.

While numerous real estate web sites do exist, they all have an orientation towards consumers and realtors. Outside of these sites, limited information exists online other than that which is connected to major media companies or the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).

Our team has seen the powerful insights that come from applying customer survey data with applied economic and market demographic data. By being a small, independent company, we can more aggressively pursue innovations to improve housing intelligence.

By using the resources found on HousingIntelligence.com, all housing industry professionals can benefit from these insights without the overhead expense of staffing and maintaining an in-house research function or huge consulting fees. And a further benefit of this web site is to tap into the collective wisdom of fellow "geeks" on current issues or specific ideas.

What You Can Expect
We aim for HousingIntelligence to be a reliable source of intelligence and news about the housing industry. The coverage we provide is simultaneously national and local. The content we provide is deep, innovative, and most importantly, valuable. The site will be valuable for companies who want to have the intelligence necessary to make optimal decisions and valuable for industry professionals who want to make the most of their careers with intelligence and resources not found anywhere else.

In Web 2.0 fashion, our blog will focus attention on news, trends and data we feel is most relevant to our users. The editors of HousingIntelligence will stay abreast of the most interesting and most compelling news and data impacting the industry in order to guide users in their quest to stay on top of things. We will also unleash the collective insights of our users in the forums to opine on the trends they see locally and nationally, and on the critical issues facing the industry.

Thank you for visiting our new site. We invite you to join our community of housing professionals who won’t settle for anything short of intelligence.
