Housing intelligence is not an oxymoron, or at least it shouldn’t be. I’ve spoken to several clients lately who were lamenting that the market has changed and seat-of-your-pants guess work won’t cut it anymore. It’s ironic that it takes a bad market to get people to respect the value of intelligence. Who knows how much was wasted and how much opportunity was left on the table during the boom by developers and builders going with gut rather than doing research? Now intelligence could be the key to survival, let alone success. This site is dedicated to improving housing and homebuilding through intelligence. We hope you will join our community and help us build the tools and collaborative insights that will make that a reality. Today this site has features that enable a community of housing professionals to connect, share opinions and insights, and collaborate. Professionals can also stay on top of what’s happening through the relevant news and blog articles. And through our enhanced subscription, professionals can get specially designed dashboard reports for every market in the country to gain visibility into the key trends impacting housing. In the near future, we’ll add more reports to cover forecasts of key metrics and other relevant information. And later this summer we will launch a premium service that will give industry professionals access to neighborhood level insights into housing trends. We are interested in your feedback and what matters most to you to make this the best possible community for housing professionals. We hope you will help us find a way to turn Housing Intelligence from sounding like an oxymoron to sounding redundant. |
