(0 posts) I’m off to the International Builder Show today and I will soon see how much the downturn has impacted attendance at the annual industry confab hosted by the National Association of Home Builders. Look for updates from me later in the week. If you need to track the performance of builders and other housing-related companies, pay a visit to our new Housing Companies section of the site. We reworked our licensed data from Hoover’s into industry categories so you can see the major players. In the new format you cane at a glance review sales, sales growth, employee count and employee growth. The database covers the largest companies in the U.S., both public and private. The private companies are a little less open with their metrics, but the information is amazingly comprehensive and is very helpful if your business depends on housing. The list defaults to residential construction companies. Just change the drop down box to look at other industry classifications such as Appliances, Construction Materials, Lighting, Lumber, Paints and dozens of other categories of companies related to housing. You can click on any company listed for more detailed profile information such as contact information, key people and company descriptions. |
